Initial Configuration

Step 1: Tax Configuration

Tax configuration is mandatory to use Ledger Xport. It adapts the application to the accounting requirements of your country.

Access to Configuration

  1. On the home page, click “Get Started.”
  2. Or go to “Settings” > “Tax Configuration.”

Selection of Tax Regime

For France:

  • FEC (Accounting Entries File): French standard
  • OHADA: For French-speaking African countries
  • Standard: Generic configuration

For Canada:

  • Quebec: Quebec tax system
  • Ontario: Ontario tax system
  • Standard: Generic configuration

Other countries:

  • Belgium: Belgian standard
  • Switzerland: Swiss standard
  • Other: Custom configuration

Company Information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Company name: Official name of your company
  • Country: Country of establishment
  • VAT rate: Applicable tax rate (e.g., 20% for France)
  • Sales account: Accounting account number for sales

Validation

  • Click “Save.”
  • Verify that the configuration is correct.
  • You can modify it at any time in the settings.

Step 2: General Settings

Basic Information

  • Company name: Displayed on exports
  • Address: Billing address
  • Phone: Customer contact
  • Email: Contact email

Language and Currency

  • Language: Interface in French, English, Spanish, etc.
  • Currency: Main currency of your store
  • Time zone: For scheduled exports

FTP Configuration (Optional)

If you would like to receive your exports via FTP:

  • FTP host: Server address
  • User: Username
  • Password: Password (encrypted)
  • Port: Server port (21 by default)
  • Protocol: FTP, FTPS, or SFTP
